Interior Designer in Loughton, Essex | Outi Penttila Interiors
Walk through the door and remember who you are.
Interior styling and design for homes in Loughton, Epping, Buckhurst Hill and across the Epping Forest district — led by a designer with a background in fashion and visual merchandising.

I design homes for people who know what they like but can't quite get there alone.
You've renovated. Or you're about to sell. Or you've lived in your house for years and it still doesn't feel like yours. If you're in Loughton, Chigwell, Buckhurst Hill, Epping, or anywhere across the Epping Forest border into East London — this is the studio for you.
Outi Penttilä Interiors brings together a background in fashion, visual merchandising, and interior design to create homes that feel edited, intentional, and personal. Not trend-led. Not show-home generic. Yours. I work from your story outward: what you love, how you live, what the space needs to do for you. Every piece earns its place. Nothing decorative for decoration's sake.

About me / Outi Penttila
Before I ever picked up a mood board, I spent years inside the fashion and visual merchandising industry — learning how spaces make people feel. How a room draws you in. How texture, proportion and light change the way you see yourself. How the smallest edit can shift everything.— is something you develop in fashion and carry into everything you do.
That's not a design school lesson. It's a commercial one. And it's what I bring to every home I work in.
I'm Outi Penttilä — interior designer and stylist, based in Loughton, Essex. I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Interior Design.
My background in visual merchandising — including work at Barker & Stonehouse — means I understand how spaces are read commercially, not just aesthetically. I bring that editorial lens to residential interiors.
I now work across Loughton, Chigwell, Buckhurst Hill, Epping, or anywhere across the Epping Forest border into East London.

“From Window Displays to Soulful Homes”
Two of the window displays I designed were created for the opening of the Switch House at Tate Modern — installations that had to communicate a feeling before anyone stopped to look properly.
Same instinct, different scale. I now bring that editorial eye — the layering, the storytelling, the sense that a space simply feels right — into the homes of people who want interiors that are unmistakably theirs.
